Peter has been leading the New York office of UA Ruhr since 2014 and has supported and facilitated academic collaborations between the three Ruhr Universities and a steadily growing network of partners in the United States and Canada. Prior to joining UA Ruhr, Peter was the Educational Liaison at the Goethe-Institut New York where he developed outreach and marketing strategies for positioning German programs in the US. Marina Hahn

Marina supports the New York office of UA Ruhr by coordinating and promoting The Future of My City. She holds the position as Account Director at Kunst und Kollegen Communications Inc. in New York, a Duesseldorf based marketing agency. Marius Lueke
UA Ruhr NY

Marius studies Spatial Planning at the Faculty of Spacial Planning at TU Dortmund University and earned his B. Sc. in 2017. Currently he is completing his Master’s degree. In addition to his studies he works as a research assistant at Plan + Risk Consult Engineering Association for Spatial Planning and Environmental Research. As a future spatial and city planner he can offer professional expertise and knowledge about recent city related research topics.

Gabriel Roncal

Gabriel was born in Peru. At the age of 17, he moved to the United States and settled in Atlanta, Georgia. Driven by his passion for promoting cross-cultural intelligence and global sustainability, Gabriel recently joined the Robinson College of Business Master of International Business program at Georgia State University after receiving his Bachelor's degree in International Economics with a minor in German Studies from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University in May 2018.

Zhen Zhou

A certified public accountant (CPA), Zhen Zhou is a financial service professional with more than 10 years of banking industry experience. She holds both Master of Science in Accounting and Educational Leadership Degrees from Lehigh University, and have extensive knowledge on accounting, economy, finance, education, and educational psychology. Zhen speaks English, Chinese, a little Japanese and currently is learning German. She is passionate on volunteering and contributing in all ways on the social and economic development.


Cindy Klarwasser
Senior Manager,

Cindy Klarwasser is Senior Manager in Career Services at the German American Chamber of Commerce in New York (GACC). In this role, Cindy manages J-1 visa relations with leading German automotive companies.  In addition, Cindydesigns and presents intercultural orientations to interns and trainees in the U.S. Since 2017, Cindy has been collaborating with the UA Ruhr to run the Transatlantic Ruhr Fellowship Program. Cindy holds a BA in English and French and a MA in North American Studies from the University of Bonn, Germany.
